Avoid hanging ornaments that are going to cover the lights, as this is going to dim it down a bit. Instead, be sure to let the lights shine and hang the ornaments on other branches so that these lights are going to be seen. Once you are done, consider taking a step back and then ensuring that you are not covering the lights and that there is nothing else to do.
